copd stages

COPD

new to copd.....no ins. to go to dr. Does anyone know how we rate the different stages? I know my last lung funtion had me at 80's to 92 when in a resting posistion. Lower when sleeping. Is this still stage one?

I also have no ins., it is very hard. I was diagnosed with COPD by a doctor that I see 2 times a year. He put me on oxygen, and prescribts meds. I pay out of the pocket. I am 63. I really get depressed because some people say that you deserve it because you smoked, and I still smoke 2 cigs a day. I am now using the e cigs, they really help. I find it very hard to quit smoking totally.
